Hotel Troopeird was built in 1978 in the village of Bellegem, at 5 kilometre from the centre of Kortrijk and 15 kilometres from Tournai. Bellegem is a rural village with a spectacular church and two breweries. The surroundings are beautiful for walking and cycling trips. The hotel is easily accessible by car and both in front and behind the hotel is ample parking.

The Grote Markt (grand place) is the central square of Kortrijk, the beautiful town hall is located here as well.
