Captain Don's Habitat is Bonaire's very first diving resort. It was built in 1976 by the diving pioneer Captain Don Stewart. This entrepreneur from Los Angeles has played a significant role in nature preservation and in the development of diving as a sport on the island of Bonaire.

Captain Don's Habitat has a restaurant, Rum Runners, where a breakfast buffet is served every morning from 07:00 until 10:00. Lunch and dinner are served daily. Barbecue lovers will also relish the 'All You Can Eat' barbecue buffet, available every Monday.

Captain Don's Habitat lies by the Caribbean Sea, just 3 kilometres from the centre of Kralendijk. Several diving boats depart from the hotel's pier every day, and of course you can also go diving off the pier itself. The stunning underwater world of Bonaire, the Bonaire National Marine Park, boasts over 60 unique diving spots. Other interesting sights on the island include the Washington Slagbaai National Park, the Flamingo Reserve and the colourful centre of Kralendijk.

The resort offers 62 rooms and bungalows. The rooms come with air conditioning, two queensize beds, a television, a fridge, a safe, a bathroom with a balcony or a terrace. The bungalows are also fitted with a kitchenette. Free WiFi is available in the hotel rooms.
