The stylish 4-star Hotel Post-Plaza is located in the heart of Leeuwarden. The hotel is established in a former General Post Office and has been a meeting place for well over a century. The hotel's hub is the Grand Café. Here the barista roasts his own coffee beans, and it's a lovely spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner or a nice drink.

The lovely Grand Café offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, a delicious Afternoon Tea and drinks. The coffee beans are home roasted by barista Jesse, and you can take a little peek at the process whilst visiting the Grand Café.
Breakfast is available on Monday to Friday from 07:00 until 10:00, and on Saturday and Sunday from 08:00 until 11:00.
If the breakfast buffet is a little too much and you'd prefer to have something lighter, you can order separate breakfast dishes such as a freshly baked croissant with jam. The Grand Café is open on weekdays from 07:00 until 00:00, and at weekends from 08:00 until 01:00. Sandwiches and dishes from the menu are available to order throughout the day.

The hotel is 1200 metres from the central station, and just a two-minute walk from the centre of Leeuwarden. The city centre boasts many nice shops, listed buildings and canals. In various places in the city you'll find stone slabs featuring poems, forming Leeuwarden's poetry route. Situated near the hotel is the Fries Museum, with its collection of highlights from Frisian and Dutch modern art. It's also easy to take a day trip to the West Frisian Islands or the Frisian lakes.

“A good reason to go back one day.”

Great location with very friendly staff. Enjoyed the almost quirky lay-out of the place. The food was good and decently priced. The comfort room we stayed in was perfect for a short stay with an excellent large bed. We particulary liked the darkness of the room, there was not a lot of light coming though the curtains.
Had to struggle to think of something. If you want to be really picky, and extra bath mat would be nice as water from the (brilliant) shower quickly soaks the one you have. The ladies in our party suggested to have bigger shower towels.

Very convenient. Comfortable. Good welcome. Valet parking. Nice food - dinner and breakfast. Room easy to access.
A room ror the handicapped but with two mirrors in the bathroom - one too low (even for a wheelchair) and one too high for normal people. Washbasin too low. Shower did not have grip rails.

“Excellent hotel in all respects!”

Extremely friendly and professional staff. Luxurious room with very comfy bed. The restaurant had a great menu and the meals I ate were excellent, (fine dining!). I would highly recommend the Lourens set 3 course menu, very good value for money also. The best stay I have had in a hotel.
Nothing whatsoever.

suberb madrasses in beds! I visited with a group of 8 customers/friends, and we all slept wonderfully!
