De Stadswal is located in Maastricht's old city centre. It is situated in the back of an old mansion, De Stadswal offers a haven of peace. You will not even notice the traffic. The hotel is an excellent starting point from which to explore the city of Maastricht. The history of the city on the Maas river is centuries-old. In the centre you can find many churches, treasure-houses and mansions dating from the city's glory days. A visit to the Bonnefantenmuseum in the trendy city district Ceramique is also truly recommended.

The breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 08:00 until 10:30, and at weekends from 08:30 until 10:30. Other times are possible on request. On sunny days you can enjoy your breakfast in the garden. The hotel does not have a restaurant or a bar. You'll find numerous restaurants for a lovely lunch or dinner within walking distance.

De Stadswal is located in the old city centre of Maastricht, at 100 metres from the Vrijthof square and 30 metres from the St. Servaas basilica. The city on the Maas river has an attractive centre. The remains of the town ramparts and the underground fortification show the city's rich history. You can also enjoy shopping in the abundance of high street shops and exclusive boutiques. Outside of Maastricht you can explore the hilly landscape of the province of Limburg by following one of the many walking and cycling routes.
