The charming Hotel Britannique is located in the city centre of Maastricht, on the grand Vrijthof, one of the most beautiful squares in the Netherlands. Thanks to its central location in Maastricht, the hotel is easily accessible by public transport. The bus to Maastricht Central train station stops in front of the hotel. A large parking for cars and bicycles lies underneath the Vrijthof.

Enjoy an a la carte breakfast every morning from 09:00 to 11:30. The hotel has a restaurant and a brasserie. The restaurant is open from 09:00 to 22:00 h. At the brasserie guests can enjoy a cup of coffee with a slice of local Limburg flan from 09:00 h to midnight.

In Maastricht, you can enjoy some good shopping. The popular shopping streets are within minutes from the Hotel Britannique. In the city are also several antique shops and art studios and art lovers can also indulge in the Bonnefantenmuseum. The exuberant city of Maastricht is also popular because of its good food and many pleasant cafés and terraces. During the last week of August the annual Preuvenemint is held. It literally means 'to taste at an event' and you can try all sorts of food, from sate to lobster and exotic dishes.

Maastricht’s attractive city centre with its numerous terraces, shops and boutiques and beautiful squares is perfect to explore on foot. The Vrijthof is the most famous square in Maastricht, and many annual events are held here, including the Maastricht fair. Another popular square is the Our-Dear-Lady square (in Dutch: Onze Lieve Vrouweplein) with the basilica of the same name. This square is only a 5-minute walk from Hotel Britannique.
