The brand-new 4-star Van der Valk Hotel Mechelen will open its doors in November 2019. The hotel is situated in a unique building with a historical story in the charming city of Mechelen. A place where people once enjoyed a dip in the pool or even learned to swim is now the perfect place to spend the night, and enjoy dinner and drinks. Owing to the building's listed status, many of the original features have been preserved. The former swimming pool, for example, is also intact. Not for swimming, but as a beautiful large pond in the central hall.

A delicious breakfast buffet is available every morning from 06:30 until 10:30. Lunch and dinner are served in Restaurant Ouwen Dok. This is the hotel's à la carte restaurant, where only fresh regional produce is used. The terrace by the water is open in the summer months; a lovely spot to sit and relax. And on Sundays, you are very welcome in the live cooking restaurant. Here you can enjoy a variety of surprising dishes with something for everyone! Fancy an aperitif or a nice cup of coffee? Then Bar Bernard is the perfect place to head to!
