Thermen Bad Nieuweschans is close to the German border. You can visit the Fortress Museum or the beautiful listed properties in the Voorstraat. A 20-minute drive across the border will take you to the historic German town of Leer. And in Papenburg along the river Eems you can visit the German shipyard ‘Meyer Werft’. A little further along is the old university town of Oldenburg, with shopping malls and attractions such as the Prinzenpalais.

What's more, Thermen Bad Nieuweschans has a Steam Bathhouse. Experience the invigorating warmth of a steam bath with daily alternating aromas and the relaxing effect of thermal water (sole) pouring over your shoulders. The steam bath's high humidity has a positive effect on your skin and airways. After the steam bath (10 - 15 minutes) gently cool down in the refreshing mist showers.

Guests travelling by train can be picked up from the railway station by the hotel's taxi service, free of charge provided guests inform the hotel of their arrival times in advance. The taxi can also take guests back to the station at the end of their stay, free of charge (between 10:00-17:00).
