De Herbergh van Flielant has been completely renovated. And it shows. The characteristic exterior has been beautifully restored, and the contemporary interior is fitted with every modern convenience, while the attentive service and hospitality of this friendly family-run hotel remain as of old. Children are more than welcome, and the restaurant even has a special menu for them.

Every morning an extensive breakfast buffet is served from 08:30 to 10:00 h in the pleasant breakfast area. The restaurant is open from 10:00 to 21:30 h. On sunny days, you can enjoy lunch or dinner on the outdoor terrace at the rear of the hotel, which has a view of the lovely garden.

There's no need to get bored if you're staying at Herbergh van Flielant, as the surroundings already offer enough recreation. If you want to know more about Vlieland, you can take part in a wide array of excursions available through the De Noordwester Information Centre and the Staatsbosbeheer (Forestry Commission). A walk through the mudflats is also an unusual experience, and a professional guide will be able to lead you across the vast tide-lands of the Wadden Sea. Fun for both young and old is the Rondje Vuurtoren, a tour along the sea, across the island and through the village. It is also possible to climb the lighthouse.
