With its location on the Veluwemeer lake, the Postillion Hotel Amersfoort Veluwemeer enjoys a stunning setting. The proximity of the A28 motorway means the hotel is easy to reach. The 4-star hotel has a restaurant, a bar, a terrace, spa facilities, 90 rooms, and ample parking for all guests. You can enjoy lovely walks and bike rides from the hotel. A trip to the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk is highly recommended. And plenty of other day trips are also possible.
A breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 07:00 until 10:00, and at weekends from 07:00 until 11:00. You can enjoy a wonderful view of the lake from the breakfast area, the restaurant, and the hotel bar. On nice days, it's lovely to sit on the outdoor terrace with a drink and a bite to eat.
A variety of day trips can be taken from the hotel. Especially worthwhile are the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk, the Wailibi Holland, theme park Amersfoort Zoo, and the climbing park in Garderen. From the middle of April until the end of October, it is highly recommended to visit the sand sculpture festival in Garderen, with a different theme each year. The National Park de Hoge Veluwe, and the cities of Apeldoorn and Amersfoort are also easy to reach. Bike lovers can enjoy wonderful cycling trips through the woody surroundings. The area is also ideal for long walks.

“a great location for a small price”
- the location, direct to the water..a lot of birds. loved the view. Price wise.. booked at hotels.nl about 60 for a basic 2 person room included breakfast. enough variety in the breakfast. nice staff.Badroom was clean. And.. a normal 2 person boxspring instead of 2 separate beds. a lot of lounge spaces in the hotel,overall.good vibe
- negative is a big word..would be nice if there would be cabinetdrawers next to the bed would be a bit less dusty. And some more variety in o beers, like a Radler would be big plus to me.

- Poor quality breakfast. Allt the cheese were dry,discolered. The yoghurt were out of date. Very disappointed..

- A little quiet if you are looking for excitement, but then you should be in Amsterdam.

“One bad visit in 25 years”
- The new eating menu on the terrace is good and the restaurant staff are very friendly and willing.
- We have been visiting this hotel regularly for 25 years ever since it was the Postiljon Nulde Putten. This time they attempted to put us in a sub-standard room with a pull off the wall bed, half built wardrobes and a bathroom with tiles that we remember from two decades ago. We found it hurtful and insulting. They moved us when we complained. Not good enough.

- There were too many midges, including in the room. We had to kill about 15 before we went to sleep, They also stopped us from having an enjoyable walk outside along the waters edge.
