Hotel
Hotel Paviljoen is situated on the 'Grebbeberg' hill and is surrounded by woods. In this atmospheric and cosy family-run hotel-restaurant the staff go out of their way to make sure guests enjoy their stay. The amenities in the recreational area certainly add to a pleasant stay, with a sauna, billiard table, table soccer and table tennis. These facilities can be used at an additional charge. The surroundings are perfect for those who love cycling and hiking. Bicycles can be rented at the hotel. The hotel rooms offer a bath or shower, toilet, minibar, telephone and a television. Business meetings and seminars can also be organised in the hotel. Restaurant 'Le Maquisard' and brasserie 'Mondial' are suitable for both a business dinner or a gathering with friends or family. Children are also catered for. They can enjoy themselves in the play corner or with the games in the recreational area. Colouring pictures are available as well.
Surroundings
Hotel Paviljoen lies next to the zoo 'Ouwehands Dierenpark Rhenen', where visitors can go on a play safari or enjoy the covered play jungle. A good pair of shoes is all you need to follow one of the hiking routes in the connected nature reserve of the 'Grebbeberg' and the 'Blauwe Kamer', where the landscape changes from lateral moraines to woods and river banks. The nature of the reserve 'Utrechtse Heuvelrug' and national park 'De Hoge Veluwe' is also perfect for a hike or a biking trip.
Food and Drink
An extensive breakfast buffet is available daily until 10:00. Breakfast starts at 07:00 on weekdays and at 07:30 at the weekend. Restaurant 'Le Maquisard' offers fresh dishes that are prepared according to traditional methods. The selected house wines will accompany the dishes perfectly. The restaurant is open for dinner every day. In addition to the restaurant, the hotel includes brasserie and bar 'Mondial', where both lunch and dinner is served. Every day from 13:30 onwards (except for national holidays), you can enjoy a high tea here that includes delicious petit fours and sandwiches (minimum of two persons).

Location was good for exploring the border regions of holland.
This hotel is no way a 4 star hotel! Just about average food, cramped rooms and over priced !

Fantastic games room, but needed fresh air circulation. Too hot for the grown ups. The children did not care. They loved it all.
As we arrived early at Europoort 8 am we were in the hotel by 11 am and could at first not be in our rooms till 3 pm. Our family party began outside the hotel at 3 pm. They thank goodnes helped us to get 1 room and soon after the rest of the rooms ready in time. They did have a full house the night before and I think only one lady is doing all the cleaning.
We organized 27 family members to have a buffet in the hotel for 27 euro's each. We paid this, but I should have thought we could have had a reduction filling the hotel with so many people. Sometimes we had to find a staff member.

Next door to the zoo, nice country walk in the surrounding area (once you cross the busy road).
Cramped closet-type bathroom-cum-toilet (instead of luxury type, matter of definition?).
Small room.
Right on very busy road, noisy.
Sloooow reception desk.
Expensive for accommodation offered.
A bit smelly.
Breakfast (very expensive!) that was not included turned out to be included after all , but then we had already checkd out.
Definitely not recommended.
