Bastion Hotel Rijswijk has a convenient location at the A4 motorway. With public transport and by car one can easily reach The Hague and Scheveningen. At a 2-minute walk there is a bus stop. A bus ride to the train station of Rijswijk takes about 10 minutes. The event hall 'Evenementenhal Rijswijk' is within walking distance. The hotel offers its guests excellent facilities, such as a wake-up service, laundry service and free wireless Internet.
A breakfast buffet is available daily from 06:00 until 09:00, and at weekends from 07:00 until 10:30. For a nice lunch and an excellent dinner, guests can visit the atmospheric restaurant open between 11:00 and 23:00, and at weekends until 22:00. The à la carte menu features numerous international dishes. The cosy bar is open until 23:30, and offers a lovely spot to enjoy a drink or a quick bite to eat.

“It's average, I wasn't impressed at all.”
- good location for my purpose. ample parking. nice layout.
- Wi-fi signal didn't reach my room well. It was a deal breaker for me. I had to sit next to the room door to catch signal and it doesn't work while sitting on the desk or the bed. I asked to change the room or remedy the pb. nothing was done about it. At breakfast time, i wasn't greeted or offered fresh eggs. Whereas others were on arrival (I hope i wasn't paranoid though). But not important thing.

- Very close to EPO, where I meant to go for an interview.
- The airconditioning in the room could not be turned off. It was freezing, the heating did not work. The room (#27) did not lock properly when leaving the room, unless I put the electronic key into the hole, and use the handle (free to move after the electronic key had been inserted) to lock the door. It was an annoyance, rather than a minus point, and I had not noticed it when I left the room right after I arrived, when I went to the car to pick something. Slow service at the restaurant

“Reasonable accomodation, on an A+ plus location, for a good price.”
- Friendly and adequate staff
- Currently the hotel is in a rebuild phase, parking space problems. maintenace state of room (water damage on ceiling wall?) On my day there were more people then the capacity of the breakfast room would accomodate. Probably to many people in the same hour 0800-0900.
