Fancy a coastal getaway with nice places to visit? Then stay at Badhotel Rockanje aan Zee! A wonderful and special hotel, built entirely in Canadian style. Take a seat in the sauna and unwind, or dive into the outdoor swimming pool, open from Mid-May until the end of September. Venture into the surroundings, hop on a (hire) bike and explore the nature area of Voornes Duin, or enjoy a leisurely walk on the beach. Afterwards you can cosy up by the fireplace or retreat to your room where you'll be met with every modern comfort. And for a drink and a bite to eat, you can visit the hotel's brasserie and bar.

A breakfast buffet is served on Monday to Friday from 07:00 until 10:00, and at weekends from 07:30 until 10:30. In Brasserie Lodgers guests can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner. The kitchen is open between 12:00 and 21:30, and produce is mainly sourced from regional farms. Take a seat in the cosy bar after dinner, where you'll also find a fireplace.

The hotel is situated behind the dunes, just 400 metres from the beach, a wonderful area to explore. Cycle through quaint villages or walk the dunes of the Voornes Duin nature area. The fortified towns of Brielle and Hellevoetsluis are simply charming and well worth visiting during the festive season. Prefer a larger city? Then head to Rotterdam (30-minute drive away) where you can spend hours shopping in what the locals affectionately dub the 'Koopgoot' (Shopping Gutter). What's more, the hotel's surroundings are ideal for watersports, such as surfing and diving. Tip: visit the ASeal seal sanctuary in Stellendam (15-minute drive away), which looks after stranded seals in need.

- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. If you wish to check in after 23:00, please telephone the reception in advance.

- A late check-out is possible until 13:00 at a surcharge of €15 per room. There's also a Lazy Sunday option, with a late check-out until 17:00 at a surcharge of €50 per room. This is possible on Sunday, subject to availability and excludes the summer months.
