- Overall, everything was excellent - we even found the prices in the bar acceptable for a hotel
- There was no public transport service nearby, so we had to catch taxis, which put up the price of our stay and negated the economical price.

- This is a pretty good hotel for a small price. Internet is free, the rooms are spacious and parking is easy and also free.
- Major: The main single problem with this hotel is the service, which is abominable. There is one person to take care of the bar, restaurant, the desk service as well as all other typical issue that need to be taken care of in a hotel.

“this hotel is clean and good value for money”
- As always for the Bastion chain: clean, comfortable and dependable. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Decent sized room. Spotless bathroom.
- For travellers like me who are dependent on public transport this hotel is not easy to get to. It must be a good 20 min walk to the nearest Metro station. Taxis are not cheap.

“Ok hotel but cannot recommend because of poor service”
- The rooms were nice and the food was good.
- Service can be improved, because it fell short several times: - When we checked in, we were told the room was cancelled because the credit card authorization had failed. It turned out there was nothing wrong with the credit card. The personnel treated as if it was our fault, and that we were lucky that the room was still available. - In our reservation we had asked whether it was possible to have a late check out because we would be running the marathon next day, and we would like to shower afterwards. The people at check-in said that this might be possible, would cost an additional 60 Euro (which is almost an extra night's cost), and that they would have to enquire whether it was possible (which they never did). Again, they gave the impression that they were doing us a favor for charging an outrageous late fee. - We decided to forgo the late check-out option (on which they didn't come back anyway), but it was also not possible to store our luggage the next day All in all, this lack of service would preclude me from recommending this hotel, even though its rooms and food are fine.

“Clean, good value hotel”
- Very good value for money, staff pleasant and helpful. Free drinks facilities provided.
- We were in The Netherlands for a week cycling so the distance from the centre wasn\'t a problem for us. For those without transport it might not be ideal. On two occasions no tea/coffe/cups were left in the room, but these were provided by reception when requested.
