The Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Airport is a contemporary 4-star hotel. The location is very convenient for tourists that want to explore the city of Amsterdam, as well as for travellers that fly from Schiphol. The shuttle service takes you to and from Schiphol Airport in about 10 minutes. There is a bus stop (line 197) across from the hotel that takes you to the Leidseplein in just 15 minutes. The Nieuwe Meer lake is located nearby, where you can practise several aquatic sports. Do you prefer to relax for a few hours? Then you could visit the Amsterdamse Bos woods.

Enjoy a drink or a snack in the cosy Bar Chez Mous. On sunny days you can also choose to enjoy the chef's delicacies on the terrace.

The Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Airport is situated close to the Nieuwe Meer. This lake borders the Amsterdamse Bos where you can enjoy nature. The city council decided to plant these woods in 1928 to offer the citizens of Amsterdam a new recreation area. In the meantime it has grown out to be a popular sight which attracts over 4 million visitors a year. In the weekends there is a ferry connection from the western side of the lake to the northern side of the woods. This is a fast and enjoyable way to reach the Amsterdam Bos from the hotel. The ferry leaves a few hundred meters from the hotel.

Clean and cosy. Front desk service courteous and helpful. Bar and lounge very nice.Unfortunately we didn t stay long to appreciate have opinion on other items. Definitely we will back, in future.

“Comfortable night”

I found the hotel to be extremely comfortable and very clean,the one meal I had was delicious, a nice vegetable quiche.I think a couple of cookies would have been nice in the bedroom to go along with the coffee. I slept very well and even though I overlooked the Car park, it was very quiet. I would highly recommend this hotal to all my friends should they find themselves in Amsterdam.

“We enjoyed our stay.”

We were upgraded to a large and comfortable room. the desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful with directions to buses etc. There was a nearby bus stop for short ride to Amsterdam and there was a good shuttle service to the airport. The gas station next door was also helpful to fill up our rental car before turning it in.
The water pressure in the shower was a bit lame and the shower door leaked a bit but neither was a big problem. We did hear noises at night with people walking and doors closing, but we slept well with ear plugs. We did not hear televisions or people talking or loud music. We were on the street side but did not hear street noise. The rock music in the breakfast room was irritating though.

“good choice for airport hotel”

This was a good choice for me, so that I could be close to the airport for my early morning departure. The shuttles from the airport to the hotel, and back again, ran on time as posted in the lobby. The shuttle trip only took ten minutes or so. The bed was very comfortable. As a single female traveler, I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe in the hotel.
Not much in walkable distance as far as dining choices, could have been a bit cleaner.
