The location of this listed building is ideal, by the water and with a view of the town's Water Gate. A short stroll and you'll be in the centre, which has an abundance of lovely shops, museums and restaurants. In order to explore the surroundings you can hire a bike, E-bike or sloop at reception. It is also possible to book a boat trip.
A delicious breakfast buffet is served from 07:30 until 10:00. If you don't have enough time for breakfast it's possible to order a packed breakfast.Enjoy a cup of coffee with a slice of cake or another drink in the Grand Café or on the terrace, which offers a view of the Kolk and the Water Gate.
Sneek and the Sneekermeer lake are much loved by water sports enthusiasts. This Frisian town also has plenty in store for landlubbers. There are many monuments, shops and terraces to immerse yourself in during the festivities of the annual Sneek Week. It's also fun to hire bikes at the Stadsherberg to cycle through the Frisian landscape.

“Never been to Sneek before ”
- The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable being a large double bed. The room had everything the traveller required. It seems a bit ye olde worlde as you go in the door, but this is not the case. Lovely building from outside.
- Not a negative point but my husband was intrigued by the gaps in the floorboards. We came to the conclusion they must be for heat expansion, although this was not necessary with the weather when we were there Parking is a wee bit scarce but our hire car was fine in a nearby public car park.
