Hotel Huis ter Geul is peacefully located in a green area near the city centre of Valkenburg. The tranquil and beautiful surroundings invite visitors to a nice stroll or a bicycle ride. At just 100 metres there is a bus stop and the train station can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. The staff welcome everyone in the warm-hearted manner for which the province of Limburg is renowned. After a day out, coming home to the hotel is a pleasure. The hotel has a lounge, a cosy Grand Café and a terrace, which is open on sunny days.
An extensive breakfast is served between 07:00 and 10:30. You can order a nice drink or a light snack at the cosy bar where you'll be served by friendly staff. And what about a local brew.
Within a short distance from hotel Huis ter Geul, on the top of the Cauberg, lies the spa Thermae 2000. The annual Amstel Gold race is a famous cycling tour that finishes on top of this hill. A pleasant trip can be made to the Fluwelengrotten, marl caves from the 11th century. Visitors can wander around the caves and observe several murals. In the vicinity you will also find castles, a cable-way and the fairytale theme park Sprookjesbos.

“Good value for money”
- No-nonsense hotel , very good breakfast buffet. Very good location to roam the Maastricht greater area. Easy access from motorway. Lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood.
- The windows (facade side) should have fly-screens. The toilet should have a toilet broom.

“Good budget hotel just outside the center”
- Very friendly and clean family-run hotel, secure bicycle lock-up available, convenient location for cycle-touring in Zuid Limburg, and a short walk to Valkenburg city centre but without the busy-ness of the nearby restaurant district.
- Located on a feeder route into Valkenburg so there was some noise from passing traffic Saturday evening but surprisingly quiet on Sunday morning. It might be noisier in the high season.

- Nice and confortable hotel. Friendly owners. Nice breakfast. Spacious room, confortable bed. Everything you nedd when you want to relax over a week-end. Excellent value for money.
- A bit off center : need to drive to go to Therma 2000. 10 min. walk to downtown.
