Hotel Riche has welcomed guests for over fifty years in the town of Valkenburg, Limburg. A delightful garden with a sun terrace enables guests to relax after - or even before - a visit to Valkenburg and its surroundings. Situated opposite the hotel is the attractive brasserie, Nextdoor, with a large outdoor terrace. The hilly scenery is a paradise for hiking and cycling enthusiasts. Nestled in the rolling landscape are numerous rivers, half-timbered houses, churches and castles, with several tracks leading to some of the most beautiful spots in the province of Limburg.

Breakfast is served daily between 08:00 and 10:00. You can also enjoy a delicious dinner in the restaurant of Hotel Riche, where a 3-course dinner is served daily.

Valkenburg boasts over 200 monuments making it a pleasure to take a stroll through the old town. There's even plenty to see underground; the town's caves form a popular tourist attraction. It's also wonderful to walk and cycle outside of Valkenburg. Or you can take a nostalgic railway journey on the Miljoenlijn from Valkenburg to Simpelveld with a real steam train! Maastricht, Aachen and Liège are great for day trips whilst staying at Hotel Riche.

- The hotel has a 24-hour reception, however guests wishing to check in after 21:00 will need to contact the reception in advance.

a very elegant hotel nice location friendly staff
nice bathroom but the shower do not have the curtain so everytime water flows copiously on the ground

“An enjoyable stay in a nice hotel in a lovely location.”

I found the recption and bar staff to be very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always plentiful and good. Rooms were cleaned everyday to a high standard. All in all an enjoyable stay in a nice hotel in a lovely location.
No British television channels. Food took a long time to arrive on the final night of the stay even though the bar was empty. And when it did arrive it was cold.

Great location. Very nice breakfast. Friendly staff.
4 stars is too generous. 3.25 is a better ranking. As such price was higher than I would have liked to pay.

Close to the city center.
The room that I stayed was way below standards, and must have been hidden when they got their stars (and actualy the room was labeled \"luxury\" and I paid extra for it). Poorly furnished (old-- not classical, but simply old-- and tastless), dark (with one small square window close to the ceiling), did not smell good, and had a constantly varying shower temperature.

Location was very good for town centre and although on main road traffic was not obtrusive. Breakfast choice was very good, rooms large and beds comfortable. On balance, it represented reasonable value for money.
Although listed as 4*, it isn\'t, although it is clean and the decor is reasonable. Rooms had shower only, no bath. Our rooms were located in building across the road from Hotel, with renovations taking place on ground floor. Workmen started anytime between 06:30/07:00 in the morning......
