The streets of Valkenburg are characterized by historic buildings, shops and cosy restaurants, terraces and the 'Geul' river. Hotel Scheepers has a picturesque and quiet location, close to nature but also to the historic centre of Valkenburg. The beautiful surrounding landscape can be explored by car, bicycle or on foot.
In the hotel you can enjoy a breakfast buffet, which is served from 08:00 till 10:00 h. The hotel bar is open from 08:00 till 03:00 h, although it closes earlier during the week. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but on a short walking distance you can find several restaurant in the centre.
Valkenburg is known for the kilometres long underground system of corridors. A visit to the various caves is recommended. In the southern part of the province of Limburg are hundreds of restored castles. Other attractions in the vicinity of Hotel Scheepers are the spa 'Thermae 2000' and the ruins of a fortress.

- First spell of hot weather and the loft room we were in had air-con that wasn't working (could have been whole hotel switched off!)

- Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Very clean. A good location near the centre but quiet. Stylish bathroom. Good breakfast. Secure parking. Bar.
- The mattress on the bed was quite soft. I liked it but my husband did not find it so comfortable. Window of our room looked onto a roof and the extractor from the kitchen. This could be a problem in summer if you wanted to have the window open. Room was quite narrow with not much space between the end of the bed and the wall.

“ A Very Pleasant Stay”
- Great variety for breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Location was perfect, 2 mins walk from the nearest shop and 5 mins from the town centre. Although close to town it was in a very quiet area. Plenty of secure car park space to the rear. The owners even offered to put my motorbike into their garage for safe keeping. We would certainly use it again.

- The hotel is in a lovely off the main street location. Quiet during the day. Easy walk to everything in town. Lovely breakfast.
- Valkenburg is doing major work on lots of roads in town now. It will be wonderful when they are finished.
