There are many beautiful walking and cycling routes in the direct vicinity of Hotel de Foreesten Vierhouten. You'll even be able to admire deer and wild boar in their natural habitat from early April through late October. A trip to the Apenheul monkey zoo is also fun for all ages. Half of the monkey population walk freely amongst the visitors. Het Loo Palace, tucked away in the Apeldoornse woods, was the former summer palace of the Dutch royal family and nowadays functions as a museum.
