Planning a day trip into Brussels? Just leave the car at the hotel, and catch a train. The station is only a 5-minute walk away, and after 10 minutes on the train you will be in the city centre.

“Great place to stay prior to flying out and turning in your rental car”

Hotel is hard to find without GPS. Having said that, this small town is a gem. About a 10 minute walk to the downtown with great shops and wonderful on street restaurants. Convient place to park prior to turning in your rental auto and an easy drive to the airport.
Only negative is that the carpets need replacements. Rooms are small but clean and beds comfortable.

“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much”

Very good and friendly service from the staff, the food was excellent, rooms were clean, very comfortable beds, easy parking, location near Vilvoorde station, computer with internet available in the lounge.
Rooms were rather thin-walled, television noises from guests next door (on the other hand the sounds from outside were no problem). Limited choice in television channels.

“Expensive for a very basic hotel.”

Room continually smelled of tcp/muscle rub...not sure if this was the cleaning agent used.. appear to have been bitten during the night. Restaurant was not open on the Sunday when I arrived... Unsure of the location not wanting to walk around alone to locate somewhere to eat.

very good food, at competitive prices, comfortable beds, nicely presented. efficient and respectful staff. hygenic, and nice neutral decor. with all mod cons
not very scenic, but i know vilvoorde is an industrial town, so maybe some nice big trees planted outside to give the scenic quality and attract wildlife and to take away the industry feel
