Bed by the Sea is a unique hotel located in one of Vlissingen's preserved Jugendstil buildings. The buildings have been renovated, but their nostalgic, early twentieth century atmosphere has been retained. The rooms are comfortably furnished and equipped with an ensuite bathroom. All rooms feature a LCD television with a good choice of channels. Some rooms even have a balcony and a whirlpool. Guests can make free use of wireless Internet throughout the entire hotel.

Breakfast is served Monday through Friday from 07:00 until 11:00, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 08:00 until 11:00. The bar is a nice spot for relaxation, where you can enjoy a chat and a drink. The bar is open from 15:00 until midnight during peak season, and from 17:00 until 21:00 off season.

The direct vicinity of Hotel Bed by the Sea offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation. The Arsenaal with its Pirate Park sea aquarium housing sharks and rays is great fun for all ages; you can even stroke the rays! The city's 65-metre high watchtower offers a stunning view of Vlissingen and the passing shipping traffic on the Westerschelde. Situated by the harbour is the Zeeuws Martime muZEEum. Vlissingen is also a great place to enjoy the fresh sea breeze, sunbathe on the nearby beach, take a stroll on the promenade or enjoy a rejuvenating walk or bike ride through the woods and dunes. The nearby provincial capital of Middelburg is also a charming city; perfect for a day out, while the gothic Town Hall and the Lange Jan abbey tower are also a joy to see.
