Hotel Van der Valk Den Haag - Voorschoten enjoys a convenient location in relation to The Hague and Leiden. Schiphol Amsterdam Airport can easily be reached by car within 25 minutes. You can rent a bike at the hotel and enjoy beautiful rides through the royal estates of De Horsten and towards the dunes, beaches and the Meijendel nature reserve. Alternatively, you can cycle past the windmills at Stompwijk, Kouderkerk and Zoeterwoude. Various routes are available at the reception.
The hotel offers two restaurants, each with its own cuisine and ambience. Restaurant Upstairs also has a roof terrace. During the evening hours, guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. The hotel is also an official wedding location, and offers ample free parking facilities.

The trendy restaurant Upstairs is located on the first floor, where the chefs prepare culinary delights in an open kitchen using fresh, regional ingredients. Guests can select a complementary wine from the extensive wine list. On sunny days, it's also possible to dine on the adjoining roof terrace. The restaurant is open daily from 17:00. Reservations are recommended. The attractive à la carte restaurant serves seasonal dishes. The restaurant also houses the 'culinary plaza', where a lunch buffet is available on Monday to Saturday. And every Sunday, a brunch buffet is served in one of the restaurants. The bar is open daily from 17:00, where you can order drinks and snacks.

Nice Room Cleanliness at the highest level and helpful reception staff
Our room was very cold and i called the reception and they sent someone to look at the heating but the young man did not know what was wrong,I was very concerned for my wife as she has terminal cancer and whas to stay warm,I told the reception lady about my wife 39 s medical condition that she has been told by her consultant that she has to be kept warm,I asked for a extra duvet for the bed which was brought to the room, My wife had to go to bed with her clothes on to keep warm and getting up in the morning had to go without a wash due to the cold bathroom,she carries a emergency Oncologist C

Very nice rooms which were cleaned daily. The housekeeping staff do their job very well. Lovely big bathroom with bath. Excellent food and atmosphere in the restaurants. Hotel was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season.Staff are very helpful and friendly. We will definately be visiting again
The only negative point for us was that the disabled parking spaces were all full of cars none of which had disabled parking cards. My husband is disabled so it is quite frustrating when this happens.

I refer to my last stay (november 6 to 9, 2017). I asked for a quiet comfort room I was given a room (105) on the ground floor , on a aisle that was under renovation , with men at work from morning till evening always an incredible noise the room-keeping service was able to clean up my room only slightly before 14.00 impossible to get back to my room before that time the worse of it is that it was absolutely useless to refer to the ladies of the reception a certain k v a did gu

quiet nice wide comfortable room at an affordable price
we found that the menu choices from the adjacent (nice, wide) restaurant were ... too restricted and limited. we are of italian origin, and we do not advise to order pasta or risotto or ravioli.

The mirrors in the bathroom and the ladies toilets in the hotel were too high on the wall for my wife to use.
