On weekdays there is a lunch buffet from 12:00 until 14:00, serving hot and cold dishes, and a family brunch with live music is organised every Sunday and features a buffet including salads and desserts. The city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch is just a stone's throw from the hotel. Besides the many nice shops, you can also visit splendid museums or take a canal tour of the _Binnendieze_. The location near the motorway is perfect for excursions. For families, a day out to the Efteling theme park is a real must, and a trip to the 'IJzeren Man' recreational lake is a good alternative during warm weather. The _Vughtse Heide_ area surrounding the lake is also great for walking and cycling.
The castle _Kasteel Maurik_ dates from the year 1400 and is located on an island in the river _Dommel_. Two nature reserves are situated in the area around Vught: _Het Reeburgpark_ and _De Kwebbe_. The near surroundings mainly consist of heath lands, woods, marshes and pastures. In the listed monument _Kamp Vught_ several exhibitions can be visited about the history of this former World War II concentration camp.

- Staff very accommodating. Variety of breakfast options, very tasty pastries.
- A little noisy in the corridor of an evening. More representative of the neighbouring guests than the hotel itself. Didn't cause excessive disturbance and ultimately a good night's sleep was had.

- the room was great, beautiful interior design. bed and pillows are comfy to me. breakfast is great, impressed with the pan cake making machines. the rooms are in another building than the receptionist area. kind of a maze but not difficult to get them, follow the signboard will do.

- Upon arrival at the hotel, we were impressed by the decor and overall look of the hotel. The grounds are also lovely, the lake was frozen when we arrived, and very picturesque! The reception staff were fantastic and spoke excellent English (thank you!). Our room was lovely, very clean and it had everything that we needed for a comfortable three night stay. We ate our dinners in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. The breakfast was also lovely, really nice quality across the board.
- There wasn't anything that we didn't like about the hotel!

- Big room with balcony, good breakfast and I really appreciated the classical heating in the room (no aircon).
- I was trying to reach our to the reception several times by phone in a need of an iron. Unfortunatelly, the girl by the reception didnt speak English and her colleague refused to bring me the iron. Taking into consideration it was 10 PM (just after the shower) and my room was a bit far away from the reception, I would have expected such service (or at least an ironing room in each building) in a hotel this category.

“Content with Van Der Valk hotel in Vught. ”
- Staff was accommodating, let us use the room at 11 am after a trans Atlantic flight. Location perfect for Den Bosch old town and Vught. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
- Bedside light insufficient for reading at night Long indoor walk from rooms to dining room. Shorter walk if you take the outside route, but then exposed to the weather.

- usual level of general comfort-though a little pricey for what you get.
- NO drink making facilities in the room, as the room was a fair distance from reception, it was a pain to have to make the treck just to get a hot drink. Despite being sent back twice my Tournedos steak was raw and disgusting, yet I was still charged, was very dissapointed as I usually have great food at your hotels.

“Een prachtige kamer voor een redelijke prijs,wij komen weer voorbij!”
- Wij waren heel erg tevreden met onze kamer Nr. 235. Belangrijk is dat de sfeer binnen in het hotel goed is! Aardige personeel! Ben vaak onderweg in hotels, maar voor het geld wat wij voor onze kamer betaald hebben kan vaak geen andere hotel mee concurreren! Wij komen in iedergeval weer terug in dit Hotel! Denk als de bouwput in de toekomst weg is dat de ligging dan ook beter wordt!!
- Voor de oudere Gasten denk ik dat het vaak moeilijk is om de weg te vinden naar het Restaurant of receptie!

- path from building farthest away from dining room is not clearly laid out, making it a challenge and quite a distance to get to the lobby and dining room.
