Abdij de Westerburcht is situated in the village of Westerbork in Drenthe. The hotel is close to the former Kamp Westerbork. Many people were deported from this camp to German concentration camps during the Second World War. Kamp Westerbork became a memorial centre in 1983. Nowadays, a radio observatory is established next to this site. The natural surroundings of Westerbork are perfect to unwind in. Cycling through the woods, across the heaths and perhaps you'll even pass a few megalithic tombs along the way! Wildlands Aventure Zoo Emmen is a 20-minute drive from the hotel.
