Hotel de Valk lies in the characteristic town centre of Westkapelle, within a stone's throw of the beach. The town is situated in the most western part of the peninsula of Walcheren, amidst the beach, dyke, dunes, and a small wooded area with creeks. Plenty of activities are organised in this charming town in summertime, but despite this it doesn't feel too touristy. In winter, it's nice and quiet and perfect for nature lovers. Throughout the year you can take endless walks along the 12-kilometre beach. And the various beach pavilions offer lovely resting points with amazing views of the sea.

An extensive breakfast buffet is served daily in the breakfast room. Weather permitting, you can also enjoy breakfast on the terrace.

Westkapelle is best known for its lighthouse in Westkapelle Hoog, which you'll spot as soon as you come into town. This tower is a remnant of a church that was destroyed in a fire in the 18th century. A beacon was placed on this site in the 19th century, so that it could serve as a lighthouse. A second lighthouse, dubbed the Iron Tower, now stands on the sea dyke in Westkapelle Laag.
