Van der Valk Hotel Wieringermeer

Hotel details:
It's easy to visit the North Sea beach as well as the IJsselmeer from Hotel Wieringermeer. The hotel lies in a rural area known as the Kop van Noord Holland. Bikes and E-bikes are available for hire at the reception, allowing you to comfortably explore this typically Dutch polder landscape. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Wieringerwerf, a village built in 1931 once the polder was drained.
An elaborate breakfast buffet will greet you in the hotel's breakfast area every morning between 06:30 and 10:30. Breakfast consists of fresh juice, tea and coffee, fresh rolls, sweet and savoury fillings, yoghurt and fruit. You can enjoy lunch and dinner in the à la carte restaurant, where you can relish sumptuous seasonal dishes. The kitchen is open for lunch and dinner from 10:30 until 22:00. A lunch buffet is served every Friday afternoon between 12:00 and 14:00. A Sunday Brunch is served every 1st Sunday of the month. Hotel guests can help themselves to unlimited hot and cold dishes including tea, coffee and fruit juice. Those who appreciate a good beer can sample draught beers at the bar. In summer, you can enjoy a drink and a snack on the large outdoor terrace.
The landscape surrounding Hotel Wieringermeer is still relatively young, given that the polders were drained in 1930. Just south of Wieringerwerf lies Oude Niedorp, a historic village that dates back to the 13th century, and where you can admire an industrial and polder mill from circa 1641. It's easy to take the ferry from Den Helder to the beautiful island of Texel, the crossing takes just 35 minutes. On the island, you can visit the Ecomare bird and seal sanctuary, where you can learn more about this beautiful landscape. What's more, close to the hotel you'll find two nice zoos: Landgoed Hoenderdaell and the Van Blanckendaell Park in Tuitjenhorn.
From 2020, the tourist tax will be increased to € 1.50 per person per night.

Henry Krabbendam- Our Stay was overall delightful ... The Room was spacious and nicely laid out ... The Restaurant had a great lay-out as well ... The Personnel was very helpful ... The Menu offerings during the day were a little pricey, but very tasty and good. The Breakfast Bar was also very well done ... SO: Heartily Recommended ...
- The only negative was the Internet ... 120 minutes per day with four log-ins only ... After one or two log-ins I was told that I had exhausted all my minutes ... A Day-Pass for 24 consecutive hours stopped being accessible after 12 hours ... Thankfully the "Desk" was abkle to help me out enough ... FRANKLY, a BIG, attractive, and well-run outfit such as VanderValk should know better than to be picky and think SMALL in providing Internet service ... Whenever in the Netherlands, I like
