Along the historic Graafseweg, which goes from Nijmegen to Den Bosch, you can find the atmospheric hotel restaurant Umberto. The hotel is located in Wijchen, a town just outside of Nijmegen, in the 'Maas en Waal' river area. This beautiful area is marked by church villages such as Niftrik, Bergharen, and Batenburg. There are also some castles to be found here, for instance in Hernen and Wijchen. Countless cycle tracks and footpaths can take you past these attractions. Nijmegen, the oldest city of The Netherlands, is approximately 10 kilometres from the hotel.

The staff set up a daily continental breakfast, from 07:00 to 10:00 h. on Monday through Friday and from 08:00 to 11:00 on weekends. Restaurant Umberto has a menu inspired by the French/Dutch cuisine, with meat, fish, and vegetarian options. You can even watch the chef prepare your meal in the open kitchen. Kindly reserve a table in the restaurant in advance. In the evening hours you can comfortably relax with a nice drink in the atmospheric hotel bar.

Hotel Restaurant Umberto is located in Wijchen, in the 'Maas en Waal' river area. Two recreation areas can be easily reached from the hotel. In the first, 'De Berendonck', near the town of Alverna, you will find a professional golf course. The second, 'De Groene Heuvels', is located between Bergharen and Hernen, Here you can go swimming or windsurfing at the lake. Gardening enthusiasts can get some inspiration from the 'Tuinen van Appeltern', which has more than 180 model gardens.
