Van Rossum Stadshotel Woerden is established in the Arsenal, a listed building from 1762 in the middle of the medieval centre of Woerden. It offers a view of the old flourmill and the Petruskerk church tower. This hotel is run with tender love and care, and guests are well looked after here; experience the friendliness and hospitality yourself during a stay at this hotel. Situated on the ground floor is restaurant Van Rossum with a bar and a shop selling fresh produce. The drawing room, kitchen and dining room are all connected, providing a cosy atmosphere. Traditional, local produce is given centre stage at Van Rossum.A tasty breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:30. There is plenty of choice for appetites big and small; from fresh fruit juices to coffee with a croissant or a fried egg.The kitchen is open for lunch from 12:00 until 16:00. Enjoy delicious snacks, salads, appetizing sandwiches, or soups. On sunny days it's possible to have a drink and a bite to eat on the terrace.And you can round the day off with an elegant and enjoyable dinner served between 18:00 and 23:30, followed by a drink at the bar which is open until 01:00. The dinner menu offers local Waards beef, fresh from the meadows near Woerden. Those who enjoy fish or vegetarian dishes are also well catered for.
Van Rossum Stadshotel Woerden and Van Rossum bar/restaurant lies in the middle of the Dutch Green Heart; it's therefore an ideal base along the Oude Rijn for walking and cycling enthusiasts. This scenic area is packed with windmills, quaint villages and farms selling fresh produce. IJsselstein Castle, Slot Zuilen and Montfoort Castle offer you the charms of a bygone era. “Absolutely fabulous place to stay ”
- the service, the atmosphere, the attention from all the staff, the excellent food, the exquisitely decorated suites, the entire experience is one of a kind.
- the surroundings can be noisy but it all depends of the room you are staying, and the day of the week. To be honest I wasn t disturbed while my stay from Friday to Saturday. I stayed at the executive suite.
