The family-run Hotel Royal Zelzate is located in the Belgian province of East-Flanders, close to the Dutch-Belgian border and not far from the historic city of Ghent. Within half an hour's drive you´ll find yourself in several interesting cities, both in Belgium and in the Netherlands. The hotel offers rooms with modern facilities.



Hotel Royal Zelzate lies close to the historic city of Ghent. A lot of people visit this city for its beautiful centre, which has great historical value. Although many things in the city were destroyed in the previous century, a substantial part has been well preserved. The old city centre is not accessible by car, making it a great opportunity to peacefully explore the old centre and its beautiful monuments on foot. Some interesting sights in Zelzate are located in the centre of the town. Such as the neo gothic St. Lawrence Church, the Goed ter Looveren (an old farm complex) and a former toll house dating from 1910. The St. Anthony of Padua Church is located in the western part of the city. Near Zelzate are some interesting Dutch and Flemish towns. Within a few minutes you can reach the village of Sas van Gent, and it is less than a 30-minute drive to Terneuzen and the historic city of Ghent.
