Fort Resort Beemster is established in a historic monument that forms part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam. Its historical significance means that this fort finds itself on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Also special: this is the first CO2 neutral hotel in the Netherlands!

Start the day well with a delicious breakfast, served daily. Lunch is served from 12:00 until 16:00. Everyone is welcome in the Poterne Restaurant where you can enjoy an à la carte dinner or a surprise menu comprising either 3 or 6 courses. Head chef Paul de Graaf creates exquisite dishes using pure, seasonal and regional produce. The choice of over forty different wines will complete your culinary experience. And on sunny days you can have a bite to eat on the outdoor terrace. Guests enjoying the spa can also order healthy dishes at the spa restaurant. Dinner is served from 18:00 until 22:00.

Discover the polders of North Holland with traditional Dutch farmhouses, fishing villages such as Volendam and Edam and towns such as Alkmaar and Purmerend. Amsterdam is also very easy to get to. Enjoy a canoe trip or sail with a whisper boat through the Eilandpolder nature area. Golf lovers will appreciate the Beemster golf course, which lies within walking distance and even offers several water obstacles.

Experience the spa as never before. In 2013, Fort Resort Beemster was voted the best spa resort in North Holland and for good reason. The panorama sauna offers a pretty view of the Beemsterpolder. Take part in a soothing kelo sauna session, during which water is poured over the rocks. Relax in the salt water baths or in one of the spa's five other thermal baths.

Swimwear is not permitted in the Spa & Wellness. Swimwear is only permitted on specially designated swimwear days (every first Tuesday of the month).
