Hotel

The building in which hotel De Koperen Hoogte is located, used to be a water tower that dates back to 1932. After the tower lost its original function, it was feared that this characteristic monument would be demolished. In 1993, the water tower came into the hands of a project developer who finally transformed it into this unique and multifunctional hotel with a revolving restaurant and a grand café with a terrace and a view of the pond. This eye-catcher of a building will be a familiar sight to anyone that ever travels along the A28 motorway between Hoogeveen and Zwolle.

Due to the corona measures, it is mandatory to have a QR code or a negative test certificate on the day itself to stay overnight at De Koperen Hoogte

This luxury hotel has 16 spacious double rooms and 1 suite. Personal attention is paramount at this hotel. The tastefully furnished rooms come with a spacious bathroom with a 2-person hot tub and a steam cabin. To make your stay even more accommodating, the rooms also have a home entertainment set with a DVD player and Dolby surround system, as well as air conditioning and a minibar. The box-spring beds are connected to each other and guarantee an excellent night's sleep. Hotel De Koperen Hoogte offers quality in a fantastic ambiance, resulting in many happy guests returning.

Surroundings

De Koperen Hoogte has so much to offer that it may not even be necessary to leave the premises. Still, those who have some time left should definitely pay a visit to the provincial city of Zwolle. In Zwolle you'll find many monumental buildings that have been well-preserved, including the late-Gothic church tower De Peperbus in the heart of the city. Zwolle is also an excellent city for those who love to shop.

Food and Drink

An extensive breakfast buffet is served in the Buffet restaurant, on weekdays from 07:00 until 10:00, and at weekends from 08:00 until 10:30. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee in the Grand Café on weekdays from 08:30 until 23:00. Relax with a drink on the sunny outdoor terrace or admire the 3-metre-high aquarium in the middle of the restaurant. The fabulous revolving Panorama restaurant, at a height of 55 metres, turns on its axis in the space of 2 hours and offers a spectacular, continually changing view. The restaurant is open daily from 10:30 for coffee and cake, lunch is served from 12:00, and a delicious à la carte dinner is available from 17:00. For an extensive selection of soups, salads, grill dishes, hot and cold specialities, and a scrumptious desserts buffet, you can visit the All-In Buffet Restaurant; open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 17:00.

    Fantastic hotel

I m in a wheelchair and although almost the entire hotel is wheelchair accessible, the elevators can only be reached by a short flight of stairs. They have a chair lift and the ladies from reception carried my wheelchair up for me. So nice The room was tidy and clean and, no surprise, the bathroom was heavenly The view us also pretty breathtaking. We dined in the panorama restaurant where all your culinary needs are met whilst you slowly turn 360 degrees to take in the pretty lights in the dark. Breakfast was a pleasure due to the lovely chef who cooks your breakfast delicious

We had the perfect stay, no minus points.

“My tip: The Panorama restaurant is lovely, the food and the service are both excellent, as is the view. Th mini maritime museum in the cellar of the hotel is a fun stop, it s tiny but impressive. A romantic walk around the small lakes behind the hotel does wonders for your appetite. It s doable, though a little bumpy, in a wheelchair. We went to a cafe called De Gillende Keukenmeiden in the center of Zwolle. They have a great menu inc lots of vegan) and are wheelchair accessible (they ll help get you inside and seated). Do reserve a table, they re extremely busy even on a weekday ”

    Stil door de week

Heerlijk ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel, fijne kamer.

Hygiëne was verder goed ”

    First wedding anniversary getaway

Everything about this hotel is amazing From the guest services to the accommodations and the La Tour restaurant on the 14th floor The hotel also has a little museum full of maritime artifacts that is very interesting to see. You can go for a little stroll behind the hotel near the waterfront or sit and enjoy a nice drink during summer time in their outdoor patio.

    No negative things

“My tip: A good tip is to reserve the La Tour restaurant that turns on the 14th floor as soon as you book your stay, as it fills up quickly.”
