The spacious Comfort Rooms feature a luxurious bathroom with a whirlpool, a separate shower, and a toilet. The rooms also include comfortable double beds, a flat-screen television, and a desk. In addition to the Comfort Rooms, there are several family rooms available, suitable for 4 up to a maximum of 6 people per room. There are also four different themed suites.
The hotel offers excellent facilities. Guests can make free use of a fitness room and an indoor swimming pool with whirlpool, overlooking the inner garden.
A breakfast buffet is available daily in the hotel from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. On the ground floor of the hotel, you will find the brasserie and the à la carte restaurant, which can accommodate approximately 250 guests. The brasserie is open daily from 5:00 PM and on Sundays from 2:00 PM, serving drinks and snacks. The restaurant menu features Dutch dishes and also offers an extensive selection of wines. Every Sunday, an extensive brunch buffet is served.

“Great place to stay!”
- I have stayed at the Hotel Emmen 4 times and always find the staff very helpful and efficient. The food is always a very good standard and hope to again. The pool and the Gym are a really great extra as well.
- The toilet on the first night was dirty at the back behind the seat I did not complain and it was rectified on my second night. Why give four coffee sachets and only two creamer sachets?

- Upgraded to luxury room which was spacious and excellent value with fun whirlpool bath . General good atmosphere with wide choice for buffet breakfast. Busy with local families celebrating anniversaries or meeting up for evening meals shows the high quality and value of the food.

“Excellent hotel, chosen for proximity to family.”
- Very comfortable beds in rooms which are very spacious. There is also a lovely pool, and bike hire. I would definitely use this hotel again when visiting my family in Emmen.
- Seating area outside the front doors could do with cleaning more frequently. On Sunday 25th August there were empty glasses and bottles from the previous evening, and also someone had vomited in by the seats and behind the plant stands, and this was still there at 9.45am. Also it would be better if the rooms were air conditioned!

Anonymous- Large room and bathroom. Plenty of hanging and storage space. Safe large enough to take iPad.
- Our room was a very long way away from reception and with 3 pieces of luggage that was difficult for senior travelers. The 'free' wi fi signal was so weak that it made receiving or sending emails impossible.

“Truly Excellent ”
- Room upgrade included a personal sauna room - we didn t use it but we were impressed. Generally, the room was spacious and of a very high standard. Breakfast was the usual feast with an unrivalled variety of fare. You can even fry your own egg
- Too many cushions No fruit bread for breakfast - after many years of expecting this on a Sunday morning at Van der Valk. Neither detracted from our stay, as you might expect.

- I have stayed several times at the hotel.It s one of the best best hotels I ever have stayed at and I have about 100 night s on hotels across Europe a year
- I left the hotel in the morning 28th of April. After a few hours I called the reception and told them that I would need one more night from April 28th to 29th. It was okay and the reception booked a room for me. Then I arrived in the evening, tired after a long day, I came to the reception, asked for my room but unfortunately, the employee who had made the reservation had made a mistake so there was no room for me and no rooms available so I had to leave again. This was NOT a very experience.

“Middle of countryside a nice hideaway but lacks in transport amenities”
- Lovely hotel for weekends but far from any town without a car. had to rent bikes that were very expensive cost me 45 euro for 3 days! clean hotel dining was lovely too. facilities good but lack of transport a minus. jacuzzi bath was a plus. Clean nice and picturesque hotel mostly elderly there
- The site does not explain lack of transport such as buses and trains. I had to ask how am i suppose to get to trasnport - only then i found out. taxis are expensive. It is really in the middle of nowere and is more for those with cars and weekends away from hustle and bustle.1 of the receptionists was rude and indignant and twice i called for manager. Changed currency and charged 17 euro extra for this? renting bikes for me a rip off.
