“Sadly made to feel uncomfortable by manager.”

Japanese supper was very nice although the manager made it clear he thought us completely stupid for not understanding the ordering system. He made us feel very uncomfortable although other staff were lovely. Breakfast was reasonable. Bikes allowed inside away from the rain. Central location on the zuider zee bike route.
Room was tiny for a twin. Manager was very twitchy. Clearly had a bad payer before because we were aske to pay everything up front including supper. We then asked for a bottle of wine and the manager actually asked us for payment at 11 pm when he bought extra pillows to our room ! When I said I would pay at check out he was clearly not happy and produced the bill in the middle of breakfast.!

Pleasant staff. Clean, warm and comfortable. Good breakfast. Relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Lack of facilities in bedroom (hair dryer, coffee making, etc). Light over basin not working. Basic furniture. Smoke detector tapped over so not functioning - safety hazard?
