Château de la Motte is a wonderful accommodation for those seeking peace and quiet in the Belgian region of Haspengouw. You can explore the area's splendid scenic beauty by following the many footpaths and cycling paths. A park with footpaths and benches also encircles the castle. The accommodation has a herb garden as well as a castle moat with a terrace. If you fancy something other than respite you can visit various places nearby. A 10-minute drive will take you to the city of Sint-Truiden, a 30-minute drive will take you to Hasselt and you can be in Maastricht within a 45-minute drive.

Breakfast is available daily from 09:00 until 10:30 (earlier times are possible subject to agreement).The Grand-Café & Brasserie offers a lunch menu featuring pancakes, waffels, sandwiches and salads. The dinner menu features classic dishes such as spare ribs and schnitzel as well as regional dishes. Be sure to sample the regional Motte beer when ordering a tasty snack. You'll be able to take a seat on the terrace by the moat on sunny days. The kitchen is open daily from 12:00; please note that during the winter season (until 1st April) the restaurant is only open from Friday through Sunday from 11:00 until late. The nearest supermarket is 10 kilometres from the hotel.

From Château de la Motte you'll easily be able to explore the Haspengouw region, also known as the Provence of Belgium. Hop on a bike, put on your walking boots or even enquire about the possibility of hiring a Vespa. The nearby city of Sint-Truiden is certainly worth visiting as it boasts two buildings that are featured on the UNESCO World Heritage List: the Belfry on the Grote Markt and the béguinage of Sint-Agnes.
