Hotel-Restaurant de Stadsherberg is a mix of modern luxury and traditional village pub. The rooms come with every modern convenience and feature a flatscreen television, a mini-bar and a spacious bathroom with a bath.

Breakfast is available every morning from 08:30 until 10:30. There is also a restaurant, which is open from 11:30 until 21:00. There is a lovely quiet outdoor terrace in the enclosed garden, where you can lunch, dine or enjoy a drink and a snack. The café closes at 22:00.

The vicinity of Hotel de Stadsherberg lies in the nature area of the Zwin and the Verdronken Zwarte Polder. You can enjoy lovely walks here, and of course on the wide sandy beach of Nieuwvliet-Bad of in Cadzand. The surroundings offer an attractive and well-developed cycling area, 5 cycling routes pass the Stadsherberg and golfing enthusiasts will discover a stunning golf course in Oostburg. At Nieuwvliet you can enjoy paragliding, horse riding and kite surfing. A visit to the town of Sluis is also worth the effort; the old town ramparts are for the large part still intact and the small town centre houses the only belfry in the Netherlands. The Flemish belfries in Bruges and Ghent are far more well-known and are featured on the UNESCO world heritage list together with several other Belgian and French belfries.

Hotel de Stadsherberg in Nieuwvliet is a 10-minute drive from the popular seaside resort of Cadzand-Bad, while the historic fortress town of Sluis is a 15-minute drive south. It is less than a 30-minute drive to the Belgian seaside resort of Knokke Heist, and the medieval city of Bruges is only 30 kilometres from the hotel.
