Mercure Nijmegen Centre lies adjacent to Nijmegen train station and is within walking distance of the lively shopping streets. The hotel is an excellent starting point from which to explore the oldest city of The Netherlands. The city was founded over 2000 years ago when the Romans built the army camp <i>Novio Magus</i> high above the river in the middle of the woods and hills. The names of the hotel's restaurant and bar, <i>Romulus</i> and <i>Remus</i>, still allude to a certain pride taken in Nijmegen's Roman past.
The Mercure Hotel Nijmegen Centre is close to the central train station in Nijmegen and is within walking distance from the city centre. As the oldest city in The Netherlands, it boasts a rich history and has much to offer on the cultural front. The city is also well-known for its vibrant night life. - This is a great place to stay clean, pleasant, modern surroundings very friendly, very helpful staff excellent value for price great food comfortable, clean bedroom and bath.
- It was hot in Nijmegen, and although the hotel and bedroom air-conditioning worked well, I wanted my room to be cooler than it could be. I had asked in advance for a room fan, but the staff very politely explained on my arrival that they did not have any. Given the warmer summers of late, I believe some room fans should be available for guests who ask for them.

- It was impossible to get the shower at a comfortable temperature: it kept changing form slightly cold to very hot.

- Uitstekende ligging ten opzichte spoorwegen. De kamer en wc zijn schoon. Er zijn voldoende handdoeken.
- Betreft het ontbijtbuffet: De uitgebakken spek was gewoon ontbijtspek. Advies is om echte Engelse bacon te gebruiken. behalve de smaak is deze bacon minder zout.

- Convenient location, and good carpark.
- We were surprised that a 4 star hotel did not have a restaraunt open on a Sunday night! We had to go out to eat?
